Beautiful Grounds, amazing views, gorgeous woods and easily accessible. This boho themed wedding was just perfection. Only a hour or so from DC, Lynchburg or Richmond, Shenandoah is the perfect place for a mountain top escape. Not to mention you can spend the rest of your weekend spending with friends and family at one of the many local cabins or campgrounds, or hotels! From Boho-Chic to Rustic Glam there’s a little something for everyone up in the mountains.

When I think of all of the weddings I have photographed, this one is one of my favorite fall events. R&B were married atop a mountain, overlooking the whole Shenandoah Valley. It was a beautiful day and while they stood and said their vows together you could feel happiness and excitement coming from the rows of families and friends. Their altar was made from wood and decorated with mums and wildflowers, each piece beautiful in it’s simplicity. Her dress -certainly the most gorgeous of boho details at the event- was a lovely BHLDN gown and paired perfectly with her soon to be husbands’ slate gray suit. Their flowers were gorgeous, and the perfect blend of wildflower meets formal with Queen Anne’s Lace and White roses.
