If you haven’t been to the National Arboretum before you should definitely consider going. The Arboretum is one of DC’s hidden gems. Can you believe that there are over 400 acres of beautiful parkland and gardens right in Washington DC? When it came time to plan their Engagement Session Rachel and Luke knew just where to go. The National Arboretum is a special spot for these two. They used to live close by would take walk through the park on a weekly basis. They even got engaged there! Luckily we managed to catch the fields right in the middle of the wildflowers blossoming. We had a lovely morning together as we wandered through park and got to know each other. A National Arboretum engagement session is perfect for those looking for a gorgeous and garden inspired location!
Hopefully this post gave you some great inspiration for your own Engagement Session! If you’re in the midst of looking for a wedding photographer be sure to reach out and share some info! The National Arboretum not only has free parking, but gives a wide variety of architectural details alongside nature. You’ll never be overwhelmed with crowds, and you’ll have a chance to really enjoy your time in such a unique place. Post pandemic, the Arboretum has updated the policies and now require a permit as well as limited days for photography. However, they still allow shoots on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays during regular hours. The permit cost is based on the length of our session – but in most cases would be $130 or less! A National Arboretum Engagement Session is definitely worth the effort – you’ll never see a spot quite as beautiful!
